Course Research 

At This moment in time I am currently doing a Btec national extended diploma in photo-graphics and i'm currently in my second year. On this page I will be researching a variety of different types of photography that I could Explore in the future in doing this as a course at University or even just as a job.

As you can see that there is a large variety of types and styles that go in to photography and I will be going in depth on a few of these types that really interest me and I'll expand and develop this research for course idea into going university.

Journalism/ Documentary

One Area of Photography that I am really interested into getting into is Journalism/ Documentary photography as I think that it is a really interesting area and style to get into, As there are a multiple of effects that are created through Documentary photography as for being with mixed with different world problems from War, Poverty, Famine and even politics which I think makes this style of photography important so that  you can show the world the affects on what is happening and what is being hidden from view by the government.

These are my current choices for courses that i am applying for at university most of them are art based as that is the medium that I want to go in too also, The course that I am really looking forward to is the film making course at Manchester as it is the course I want to do and what I hope to do in my future.

Apprenticeships



Currently, I am looking into doing an apprenticeship in to photography or graphic design and I  have been looking on multiple websites and at companies that would hire me into an apprenticeship as an assistant photographer or just to work in the business, I have had interviews with people to help me gain this type of apprenticeship and they will send me information and opportunities that I could go down. 

http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/ This is the website I am currently using to help me find an apprenticeship in photography or design by sending me emails on opportunities that could help me get into my desired occupation and keeps me connected on any thing new that could come too.


As my course is coming to an end soon I have been looking at other routes that I could go down for my future in photography, I have previously looked at going to university but decided against doing so as I knew that it wasn’t the way I wanted to take my career.

However, I am now looking at other options like apprentices and other jobs that could help improve my work and develop me further as an artist, I have looked around many place like the internet and other options like companies that help find apprenticeships for you like connections and help in college to help me find a apprenticeship appropriate for me.


This is a job that I have look into previously as I think that it would be an interesting opportunity to able to do this as I would get a lot of training and independence in doing a job like this and I think it would help me be a more confident photographer and think that this would be an interesting route to go down.


Furthermore, with this apprenticeship there will be a steady pay and I could be working for them for about ten years that could lead to more interesting opportunities that could open to me after working there.


Here is another example for an opportunity to do an apprenticeship in photography quite close to where I live too so I think that this could be another route that I could go down.

There are many opportunities that I could go down but I think that I would like to get an apprenticeship as I think that this is the best way to start my career to help develop my skills as photography and help me grow and improve so that I can do something more challenging further down the road.



Behance

Behace is a arta nd design website that is used to post your work on for people around the world to view and apprieciate your work and is basically an online portfolio I have a Behance accout so that if people apprieciate my work it could open up oppitunities for future jobs or appreniceships as many famous an well respected photographers and designers use it.









Here is an image of my behance account as you can see i have a selection of different photography on my account so that people will be able to see the amount of different photography that I have done also, If you look closely it shows how many views I have had on each folders.

Furthemore, I really think that behance is a really good tool to to have if you have a lot of different types of photography that you would like to show. also, It helps you develop more as you are getting out and posting your photography for everyone to see that could open alot of different oppitunities.
